The Chief Challenger

Organizations that have charged individuals or departments with responsibility for DEIB have permitted them to lead the design and implementation of DEIB initiatives. With that permission comes both influence and power.

One of their major responsibilities is to serve as the organization’s Chief Challenger. It needs a DEIB Lens. When a DEIB Leader encounters a barrier, they do not back down or “go along to get along.” Rather, they marshal their allies and remind those who are resisting that it is the organization that has decided that it wishes to evolve.
