Being Seen, Being Valued

In a Culture of Belonging, everyone is both seen and valued. There’s a difference.

Being seen is about the embedded Dimensions of Diversity that are easily perceived by others, such as one’s hue of skin and other physical attributes.

Being valued is about the authentic diversity dimensions that others cannot perceive without engaging with the individual. For instance, an appreciation of another’s knowledge, lived experiences, or creativity can only be gained through personal interaction.
